On arrival you will experience the warm Sri Lankan hospitality. You will be welcomed by One World Holiday’s representative at the meeting point inside terminal building and escorts to the private luxury coach transfer to the Hotel in Negombo. 1500hrs – Your local tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and proceed with half day Negombo city tour.

Negombo is a major city in Sri Lanka, situated on the west coast and at the mouth of the Negombo Lagoon, in the Western Province. It is one of the major commercial hubs in the country and the administrative center of Negombo Division.

Negombo has about 142,136 population within its divisional secretariat division. Negombo is known for its long sandy beaches and centuries old fishing industry. After breakfast leave for the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage in time to see the feeding of the baby elephants. The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage was established in 1975 to rescue injured & orphaned elephants & is today one of the Island’s most popular tourist attractions. With around 80 elephants of all ages, it provides visitors a unique opportunity to see the elephants at close quarters & is one of the few places in Sri Lanka where captive elephants have bred successfully. Hereafter proceed to visit the Dambulla Cave Temple which is famous for its rock paintings and is among the best preserved monastic caves complexes in Sri Lanka.

The Dambulla Cave Temple is located 24 km (30 min) from Sigiriya in central Sri Lanka. Built in about 80BC It is the largest and best preserved cave temple in Sri Lanka. Inside are 153 Buddha statues in various reposes, three statues of ancient kings, and four other statues including those of Vishnu and Ganesh. The ceiling and walls have been repainted over the centuries contain a juxtapose of imagery including those of royal life.

Day 03

ROUTE : HABARANA / SIGIRIYA / MATALE / KANDY.
DISTANCE : 95KM.

After breakfast leave for Kandy, enroute visit one of Sri Lanka’s major attractions, the Sigiriya rock fortress. A UNESCO word heritage listed site, also known as the “fortress in the sky” which was built by King Kashyapa (477- 495 AD). En-route visit a Herb & Spice Garden in Matale. Sri Lanka has been famous for centuries for its trade in spices and spice gardens. A visit to one of these herb & spice gardens provides firsthand experience on how these amazing treasures are grown and prepared.

Continue the tour visit the Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic.- ” The sacred temple was built in the 16th century AD & is located adjacent to the Royal Palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy & overlooks the expanses of the Kandy Lake. This temple complex houses the sacred tooth relic of the Lord Buddha.

Late evening experience the music and dance culture of Sri Lanka, especially the Kandyan traditions is to witness a cultural dance show in Kandy which provides an insight into the array of dances and playing of drums & performances such as fire walking and fire breathing as well as Kandyan drumming, and devil dancing will be showcased in this show. Day 04

ROUTE : KANDY / NUWARA ELIYA.

After breakfast, depart from Kandy in the morning. You will as your first destination, Ramboda Falls. This waterfall is 109m high and the 11th highest in Sri Lanka. You will enjoy the morning sun rise over the water, throwing colourful rainbow reflections. You will spend a pleasurable time relaxing and refreshing yourself and making some photographic memories too. Continue the tour towards Nuwara Eliya. You will reach your next destination, the Hakgala Botanical Gardens. The gardens are the second largest of the five botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. The garden is famous for the many floral species; especially the Orchids and Roses. The site is also believed to be the location of the legendary Ashoka Vatika from Ramayana; the pleasure gardens where Sita was kept hidden. Your next stop is most exciting experience of visiting a traditional tea factory. You will join with a guided tour for an hour and a half. You will get to see part of the tea estate and the process of tea plucking, the drying, processing of the leaves and the creation of tea into its various quality levels. You will also be able to purchase some fresh tea leaves at the gift shop and sample a cup of tea with some cake.

Arrive in Ella Nuwara Eliya, transfer to the Grand Hotel-5*, a gorgeous National Heritage Property first established in 1891, a nod to the colonial history of the region, rooms are classically beautiful with all modern amenities included. After breakfast, depart from Nuwara Eliya to Yalla. Enroute you will stop for the photo stop at Lake Gregory, sometimes also called Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873.

Your next stop at Ramboda Waterfall, rivers, as they flow over uneven ground or down mountains, often split into tributaries or form waterfalls. Sometimes two tributaries of the same river may form twin waterfalls very close to each other as the water spills down cliffs and rocks. However, it is quite uncommon for the tributaries to combine after forming the waterfalls making a Y shape.

Yala national park consists with light forests, scrubs, grasslands, tanks and lagoons. It was one of the first two national parks in Sri Lanka, having being declared as such in 1938, along with Yala national park is known for its variety of eco systems and rich biodiversity. It is situated in dry semi-arid climatic region which hosts various ecosystems from moist monsoon forests to freshwater and marine wetlands. Yala park was initially used as a hunting ground for the elite under British rule.

Day 06

ROUTE : YALA / GALLE.
DISTANCE : 179KM

After breakfast, depart from Yalla. Tour continue and proceed to city of Galle, enroute you will see Stilt Fishing is a traditional style of fishing practised by local fishermen in Sri Lanka, especially on the southern coast. With a perfect balance and an insurmountable amount of patience, fishermen perch themselves on cross-shaped beams and wait for their catch of the day!  Thereafter visit the Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, originally built by the Portuguese and then further developed by the Dutch and the British, covers nearly four sq kms, and is protected by 12 bastions and connecting ramparts. During the early 18th century, the Old Dutch Gate was the entrance point to the Fort. Subsequently the British built the Main Gate which is still used today. Buildings of interest include the Dutch Reformed Church, All Saints Church, Amangalla Hotel (formerly the New Oriental Hotel), and the lighthouse and bell tower. A maze of narrow roads lined with small houses and shops with Dutch names still remain.

ROUTE : GALLE / COLOMBO.

After breakfast, depart from Galle and procced to Colombo, capital city of Sri Lanka. Enroute you will visit a Mask Factory in Ambalangoda and Turtle Hatchery in Hikkaduwa. Ambalangoda is the centre for making unique Sri Lankan masks. At the Mask Museum you can walk through a vibrant collection of these fine pieces of art, each carrying a folklore story of Sri Lankan history and culture. Sri Lanka shelters a good count of endangered species across the globe, and one of the most exciting species amongst them is the sea turtle. The hatcheries along Sri Lanka’s western coast regularly witnesses a good count of sea turtles.

Arrive in Colombo and check-in at the hotel and relax

Evening you will join Colombo city tour, Once a colony of the Dutch, British and Portuguese, Colombo showcases an interesting mix of cultures and cuisines, which is pretty much evident in most of its nooks and corners. Drive through the city through the busy commercial areas as well as the tree lined residential areas, Cinnamon Gardens, Fort, the former British administrative centre & military garrison, Sea Street – the Goldsmiths quarters in the heart of Pettah, the Bazaar area, where is also a Hindu Temple with elaborate stone carvings, & the Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749.

Arrive to the hotel and join farewell dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.
